Basketball Recap: Alex Egglefield's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ausable Valley over Plattsburgh + How To Watch

AuSable Valley lost against Plattsburgh back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

AuSable Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Egglefield, who posted 11 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Blaise, who earned 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

AuSable Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Plattsburgh, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

AuSable Valley will take on Boquet Valley in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will be up against the Griffins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Plattsburgh and Peru will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' defense better be ready for this one: the Nighthawks have averaged an impressive 51 points per game this season.
