Baseball Game Preview: Hinckley-Big Rock Royals vs. Newark Norsemen

For the second straight game, Hinckley-Big Rock will face off against Newark. The Royals will welcome the Norsemen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hinckley-Big Rock has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Hinckley-Big Rock needed a bit of extra time to put away Newark. They came out on top against the Norsemen by a score of 16-12. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Norsemen: they've now won four in a row.

For Newark's part, Jackson Walker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Walker is becoming a predictor of the Norsemen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Eastin Mcbroom, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

The win got Hinckley-Big Rock back to even at 7-7-1. As for Newark, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-12.
