Baseball Game Preview: Mukwonago Indians vs. Muskego Warriors

Mukwonago is 2-8 against Muskego since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Indians will face off against the Warriors at 11:00 a.m. Mukwonago's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Muskego's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Mukwonago didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Waukesha West by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Easton Ahrens looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Adam Kudronowicz, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Carson Greuel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Muskego came out on top against Burlington on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Warriors put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Muskego has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mukwonago, their record is now 8-4.

Mukwonago suffered a grim 18-4 defeat to Muskego when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
