Paramount waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Dominguez Dons. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Raymundo Banuelos and Johnny Galvan dominated on the mound. Banuelos pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits, while Galvan pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Galvan also tossed no walks, which is notable because Paramount is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Quinones, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. He has become a key player for Paramount: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luis Banuelos, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Paramount pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Dominguez, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7-1.
