Baseball Recap: Gunderson Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Gunderson's offense. They came up short against the Harker Eagles on Monday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gunderson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JD Murillo, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Gunderson's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Harker, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunderson will welcome Independence at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies are facing the 76ers at the right time seeing as the 76ers are stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Harker, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Crystal Springs Uplands at 5:00 p.m. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
