Recap: Mendez Jaguars vs. Triumph Charter Jaguars
On Thursday, Mendez took a serious blow against Triumph Charter, falling 65-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mendez has scored all season.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 26 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Garcia III has scored at least 25% of Triumph Charter's points. Jorge Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Mendez's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Triumph Charter, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
After both having extra time off, Mendez and Robert F. Kennedy Community will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Robert F. Kennedy Community is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Triumph Charter and Polytechnic will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
