Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian Has No Trouble Against East Moline Christian

Unity Christian's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the East Moline Christian Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Knights have beaten the Eagles the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

While Unity Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-22.

Emily Merema paced Unity Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Merema got some help from Ella Behr and her five assists. Maddy Wilbur controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory got Unity Christian back to even at 1-1. As for East Moline Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Unity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Tri-State Christian on the 28th. As for East Moline Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Faith Christian on the 28th.
