Baseball Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short

If Pacheco was feeling good fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Livingston two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 8-5 to the Lathrop Spartans on Tuesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Pacheco saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Rogers, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Pacheco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Lathrop, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15.

While Pacheco had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
