Brazosport Christian got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on the Briarwood Mustangs with a sharp 58-33 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Brazosport Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Coburn out in front who went 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points and five assists. That's the most assists Coburn has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Sullivan, who went 6 of 9 en route to 12 points and eight boards.

Brazosport Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Brazosport Christian's record now sits at 11-7. As for Briarwood, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Brazosport Christian has already played their next matchup (against Chinquapin Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Briarwood will host Legacy Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
