Basketball Game Preview: Savannah Country Day Hornets vs. Effingham County Rebels

The Savannah Country Day Hornets will face off against the Effingham County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Savannah Country Day took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 73-60 win over Swainsboro. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Effingham County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against South Effingham on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win.

Effingham County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Savannah Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
