Volleyball Recap: Coral Gables Finds Playoff Glory Versus Miami

With a playoff win on the line, Coral Gables rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Miami Stingarees with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Coral Gables never let Miami on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 26-24.

Natasha Macau paced Coral Gables' offense, picking up 21 kills. Macau got some help from Corina McDanal and her 37 assists.

Coral Gables' win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Miami, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Coral Gables wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Coral Reef on the 15th. Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
