Volleyball Game Preview: East River Falcons vs. Lyman Greyhounds

East River hasn't had much luck against Lyman recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Falcons will take on the Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m.

East River is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Winter Park.

While East River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Winter Park's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Lyman got the win against Oviedo on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Lyman won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.

Lyman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for East River, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

East River might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lyman when the teams last played last Thursday. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
