After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parke Heritage, Southmont was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 73-60 win over the South Vermillion Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Mounties in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Watson, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 16 points and five assists. Watson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aaron Mcmasters, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and seven boards.

Despite the loss, South Vermillion still got an impressive performance from Aden Wallace, who went 9-for-21 en route to 31 points in addition to six assists and three steals. South Vermillion is 2-1 when Wallace posts 25 or more points, but 5-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Weir, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Southmont's record now sits at 11-6. As for South Vermillion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southmont will take on McCutcheon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
