Cedar Valley came out on top against Westlake on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Aviators won by a run and slipped past the Thunder 9-8. That's two games straight that the Aviators have won by just one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Cedar Valley and bumps their season record up to 7-13. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Westlake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Cedar Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westlake: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
