Maria Kahrhoff turned in nothing short of a gem on Tuesday, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with five or more strikeouts. For the year, she has an ERA of 5.84 over 56.1 innings pitched.

Even though Kahrhoff couldn't lead Wesclin over Carlyle, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
