Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Hoyas vs. Sprayberry Yellow Jackets

Having just played yesterday, the Harrison Hoyas will head out on the road to face off against the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sprayberry took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Harrison, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Harrison narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Paulding County 36-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hoyas.

Meanwhile, Sprayberry played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 72-38 defeat at the hands of River Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Knights are ranked first).

Harrison pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Sprayberry, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Harrison didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Sprayberry in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 66-60 victory. Will Harrison repeat their success, or does Sprayberry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
