Basketball Recap: George Stevens Academy Comes Up Short

George Stevens Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 87-38 to the Mattanawcook Lynx, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Lynx are ranked fourth).

George Stevens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mattanawcook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

As of now, neither George Stevens Academy nor Mattanawcook have any future games scheduled.
