Basketball Recap: Provine Takes a Loss

Provine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Brookhaven Panthers on the road by a 56-40 margin. The Rams were down 48-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookhaven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kema Roberts, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and seven boards. Sh'Nya Hill was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Provine's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Brookhaven, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Provine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-32 defeat against Natchez on the 24th. Brookhaven has also already played their next game, a 42-37 loss against North Pike on the 24th.
