Football Recap: Poolesville Falcons vs. Wootton Patriots
Poolesville couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 43-0 loss at the hands of the Wootton Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 24-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Wootton found their leader in underclassman Hunter Humphries, who threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Bryan Ngouzo was Humphries' top target, picking up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Poolesville will be playing at home against Walkersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wootton, they will host Rockville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
