Basketball Game Preview: Sweetwater Wildcats vs. Polk County Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Sweetwater is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Sweetwater came up short against Tellico Plains and fell 60-50.

Meanwhile, Polk County had to suffer through a 83-26 loss at the hands of McMinn Central. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Chargers are ranked tenth).

Polk County has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Sweetwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Sweetwater came up short against Polk County when the teams last played last Friday, falling 41-37. Can Sweetwater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
