Basketball Game Preview: Bemidji Lumberjacks vs. Detroit Lakes Lakers

The Bemidji Lumberjacks will head out to take on the Detroit Lakes Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bemidji is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fergus Falls just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Otters.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Detroit Lakes). They enjoyed a cozy 65-48 win over St. Cloud Cathedral on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lakers considering their 23-point performance the match before.

With the victory, Detroit Lakes broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14. As for Bemidji, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Bemidji beat Detroit Lakes 49-37 in their previous matchup last Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bemidji since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
