Preview: Randolph Blue Devils vs. Cohasset Skippers
Randolph has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Cohasset Skippers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Friday, Randolph was able to grind out a solid victory over Brighton/Kennedy Health Careers, taking the game 35-26.
Meanwhile, Cohasset never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over Mashpee. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Cohasset just coasted through the last quarter.
Liam Appleton had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Wildfire, who threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-3.
Randolph came up short against Cohasset in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 28-24. Thankfully for Randolph, William Baker (who rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
