Basketball Game Preview: Herndon Hornets vs. Wakefield School Fighting Owls

The Herndon Hornets will head out to face off against the Wakefield School Fighting Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Herndon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Herndon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-44 to Wakefield.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wakefield School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 win over Randolph-Macon Academy on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Owls have posted since February 8, 2024.

Herndon's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Wakefield School, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
