Basketball Game Preview: Dunlap Eagles vs. Canton Little Giants

The Dunlap Eagles will head out to challenge the Canton Little Giants at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dunlap is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Dunlap lost 65-44 to East Moline United on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Panthers are ranked 106th).

Meanwhile, Canton didn't have too much trouble with Geneseo on Saturday as they won 44-29.

Dunlap's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Canton, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.

Everything came up roses for Dunlap against Canton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 66-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dunlap since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
