Preview: Southern Reynolds Whippets vs. Valley Vikings
After five games on the road, Southern Reynolds is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Valley Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Southern Reynolds was beaten by Westwood Baptist Academy 65-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southern Reynolds has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Valley entered their tilt with Crystal City with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Valley came out on top against Crystal City by a score of 68-61 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Southern Reynolds bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Everything came up roses for Southern Reynolds against Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 as the squad secured a 71-19 victory. Does Southern Reynolds have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
