Liberty North faced Blue Springs South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Jaguars 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Max Lemasters was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. William Bologna was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Liberty North's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Blue Springs South, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty North will head out to square off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Springs South, they will face off against Lee's Summit West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
