Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Has No Trouble Against Forest

Santa Fe won the last time they faced Forest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Raiders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0).

While Santa Fe might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Forest scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-22.

Delaney Wingenbach paced Santa Fe's offense, picking up 18 kills. Wingenbach got some help from Gracyn Marshall and her 17 assists. Brooke Findley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Forest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Owens had 11 digs and four assists.

The win made it two in a row for Santa Fe and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Santa Fe has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Oakleaf on the 12th. As for Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Gainesville on the 16th.
