Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Sharks vs. Soledad Aztecs

The St. Francis Sharks will take on the Soledad Aztecs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Francis comes in on four and Soledad on three.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Francis beat North Salinas 68-64.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Soledad's strategy against Greenfield on Wednesday. Soledad was the clear victor by a 60-38 margin over Greenfield.

Soledad is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Everything came up roses for St. Francis against Soledad in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, as the team secured a 65-35 victory. Will St. Francis repeat their success, or does Soledad have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
