Basketball Recap: Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Clearfield Bison
Huntingdon came up into this matchup off a tough 31-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Clearfield Bison by a score of 51-48 on Tuesday. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Clearfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Glunt, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braison Patrick, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.
Huntingdon is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6. As for Clearfield, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Huntingdon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-41 victory against Mount Union on the 15th. As for Clearfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-40 win against Penns Valley Area on the 15th.
