Softball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Narbonne Gauchos

The Wilson Mules will challenge the Narbonne Gauchos at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Narbonne took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wilson, who comes in off a win.

Wilson will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Maywood CES on Wednesday. Wilson was the clear victor by a 21-8 margin over Maywood CES. The Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 13 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Narbonne suffered their biggest defeat since May 16, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 20-1 to San Pedro. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Gauchos' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Narbonne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elyse Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The victory got Wilson back to even at 4-4. As for Narbonne, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
