Basketball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Elkins Elks, falling 69-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Elks are ranked 50th).

West Fork's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Elkins, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Looking ahead, West Fork will venture away from home to face off against Thaden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thaden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Elkins, they will challenge Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkins knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Providence Academy likes a good challenge.
