Football Game Preview: Cypress Centurions vs. El Modena Vanguards + Official Tickets

The Cypress Centurions will face off against the El Modena Vanguards at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Cypress is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Trabuco Hills on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Centurions lost 28-7 to the Mustangs. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Meanwhile, El Modena lost to Capistrano Valley at home by a 30-14 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Vanguards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Cougars are ranked 35th).

Although El Modena took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan De La Vega and Aiden Sullivan.

El Modena now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cypress, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
