Volleyball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Foothill lost against Desert Oasis back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Foothill fell 3-1 to Desert Oasis. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Foothill actually scored more points across those four sets (90-88), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 13-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Foothill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Ellizar-Keiki had 36 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Ellizar-Keiki has posted over his last four games.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Desert Oasis, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Coming up, Foothill is taking a road trip to take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Oasis, they will venture away from home to face off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
