Baseball Game Preview: Tuckahoe Tigers vs. Briarcliff Bears

For the second straight game, Tuckahoe will face off against Briarcliff. The Tigers will head out to take on the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Tuckahoe has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tuckahoe took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Briarcliff. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 3rd.

The team relied heavily on Jay Romeo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Tuckahoe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Briarcliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
