Soccer Game Preview: Victor Valley vs. Granite Hills

Victor Valley hasn't had much luck against Granite Hills recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Victor Valley Jackrabbits will challenge the Granite Hills Cougars at 4:30 p.m.

Victor Valley is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Barstow. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 919th, while the Aztecs are ranked 444th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Granite Hills). They never let Adelanto onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. The result kept the Cougars happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 7, 2024.

Granite Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-1-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those 15 games. As for Victor Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-3.

Victor Valley came up short against Granite Hills in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can Victor Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
