Volleyball Recap: Byers Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Byers unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Wiggins Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-17.

Joclynn Rector paced Byers' offense, picking up six kills. Rector got some help from Leyla Sayler and her ten assists. Taiya Eymann controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wiggins' win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Byers will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Simla at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wiggins, they will square off against Platte Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
