Basketball Game Preview: Oakville Acorns vs. Three Rivers Christian Eagles

The Oakville Acorns will face off against the Three Rivers Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Oakville came up short against Pe Ell on Thursday, falling 56-34. While losing is never fun, the Acorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Trojans are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Three Rivers Christian). They were the clear victor by a 36-11 margin over Washington School for the Deaf on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Oakville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Three Rivers Christian, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

Everything went Oakville's way against Three Rivers Christian in their previous matchup back in January, as Oakville made off with a 42-19 win. Does Oakville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Three Rivers Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
