Baseball Recap: Lebanon Raiders vs. Plymouth Bobcats

Suggested Video

Lebanon had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-6 to make it four. They came up short against the Plymouth Bobcats, falling 15-5. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Plymouth, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. Considering they have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Plymouth's part, Cavan Sanborn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Sanborn has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Luke Diamond was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Plymouth is 4-2 when Diamond posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Thomas Daigneault also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lebanon is set to square off against their familiar foe Stark at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Plymouth will take on rival Laconia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
