Volleyball Recap: Kaylee Foreman Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Pine Crest won the last time they faced Benjamin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Buccaneers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (83-82) Pine Crest actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 7-25, 25-15.

Pine Crest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Foreman, who had 18 digs and five assists. Foreman has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Collado, who had nine digs and two aces.

Pine Crest's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Benjamin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Pine Crest will be taking part in a tournament against Trinity Catholic at 12:10 p.m. on Friday. As for Benjamin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 6:30 p.m. on September 3.
