Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Lancers vs. Cosby Titans

The Manchester Lancers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Cosby Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, everything came up roses for Manchester against Monacan as the squad secured a 76-43 win. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 33 points or more this season.

While Cosby didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 61-43 victory over Midlothian on Thursday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Trojans are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manchester pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.2 points. As for Cosby, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
