Soccer Game Preview: Shorecrest vs. Mountlake Terrace

The Shorecrest Scots will face off against the Mountlake Terrace Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Shorecrest is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Meadowdale just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Shorecrest came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Meadowdale are ranked 214th).

Meanwhile, Mountlake Terrace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Archbishop Murphy.

Shorecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Mountlake Terrace, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2.

Shorecrest was able to grind out a solid win over Mountlake Terrace when the teams last played on April 1st, winning 3-1. Will the Scots repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
