Volleyball Recap: Lexi Lindsey Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Winona challenged Bakersfield on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Winona took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-10, 25-6.

Winona got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexi Lindsey out in front who had five digs and three aces. Lindsey is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 62 games she's played dating back to last season.

Lindsey wasn't the only good servers: Winona was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Winona's record is now 33-4. As for Bakersfield, they moved to 3-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Winona nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
