Basketball Recap: Nash Central Takes a Loss

Nash Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Northern Nash Knights, falling 80-38. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Northern Nash found their leader in sophomore CJ Rosser Jr., who went 9 of 11 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Rosser Jr. has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Barnes, who went 6 for 10 en route to 16 points.

Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Northern Nash, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nash Central has already played their next contest (against Bunn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northern Nash won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Franklinton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Northern Nash's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
