Softball Recap: University Titans vs. Spruce Creek Hawks
University easily dispatched New Smyrna Beach last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The University Titans fell just short of the Spruce Creek Hawks by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since April 6, 2024.
University got a good showing from Kendra Lee, who struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Lee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, University saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Fisher, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Bella Delgado was another, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

University (ranked 138th) will meet Flagler Palm Coast (ranked 318th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. Similarly, Spruce Creek will take on New Smyrna Beach at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th up 263 places (104 vs. 367).
