Basketball Recap: Tara Marks Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Sunnydale Academy

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool won the last time they faced Sunnydale Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Sunnydale Academy. The team ran away with 32 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tara Marks, who posted eight points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dorr, who had six points and four steals.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Sunnydale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will square off against Applewood Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sunnydale Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
