Recap: Jones Trojans vs. Warren Warriors

The Jones Trojans entered their tilt with the Warren Warriors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 59-32 stomp they got on the road against Warren.

When it comes to explaining why Warren lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Lewis Petty. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Petty's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jerrod Yeagin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

Jones has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Jones and Ingleside will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ingleside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Warren will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Calallen at 2:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023.
