Ridgefield posted their closest victory since December 29, 2025 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mark Morris Monarchs, sneaking past 67-64. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mark Morris' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mikaila Warfield, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Warfield is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games she's played. Paisley Fraidenburg was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 17 points.

Ridgefield's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Mark Morris, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.

Coming up, Ridgefield will take on Hockinson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spudders will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mark Morris, they will square off against Columbia River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rapids will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Monarchs surely won't give up without a fight.
