Football Game Preview: Orange Park Raiders vs. Yulee Hornets

The Orange Park Raiders will challenge the Yulee Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange Park has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight defeats, while Yulee will come in with three straight wins.

Orange Park's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Clay on Friday. They took a blow against the Blue Devils, falling 27-0.

Meanwhile, Yulee was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Baldwin by a score of 18-6. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Hornets were the (much) better team in the second half.

The critical scores for Yulee came from Kamilya Johnson, Rheyna Hilton, and Kenia Huguley.

Yulee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Haley Ross and Huguley. The dominant performance also gave Ross a new career-high in total tackles (12). Another thorn in Baldwin's side was Autumn Bishop, who picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles.

Yulee pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.1 points on average over those games. As for Orange Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
