Basketball Recap: Anahuac Comes Up Short

If Anahuac was feeling good fresh off their 80-35 takedown of Kirbyville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Anahuac Panthers took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Chambers Buccaneers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1012th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 409th).

Anahuac's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for East Chambers, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Anahuac nor East Chambers have any future games scheduled.
