Baseball Recap: Cape Coral Takes a Loss

Cape Coral lost against Gateway Charter back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cape Coral Seahawks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gateway Charter Griffins.

Tyler Anson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

Cape Coral's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gateway Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Coral will host South Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Coral is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Gateway Charter, they will square off against Immokalee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway Charter is facing Immokalee at the right time seeing as Immokalee is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
